Our Trip to the New York City Transit Museum

Our trip to the NYC Transit Museum was a lot of fun. The children had a chance to experience what it was like to ride on trains from the 1900's, 1920's, and 1963. They were able to meet a conductor from a 1920's train car, and he told them interesting stories. On the train from 1963 they learned that this train was painted blue and was called the Bluebird. It took people to the Little World's Fair in Queens. They also learned that the trains from the 1960's were dropped into the Atlantic Ocean once they were no longer being used and are now homes for fish that live under water. Our trip was really a lot of fun!
